Body and Voice Training

No matter how we reach out to help others, whether that be face to face, one to one, on the telephone, via email, we all have two major assets that can help improve our delivery of support and how this support is received.

Have you ever felt that no matter what you say or how hard you try, people with emotional health challenges may be unresponsive, may avoid eye contact, might make it clear they don’t want you in close proximity physically?  This course helps us understand why this happens, how to spot signs of discomfort or fear, and how we can overcome these hurdles by using our bodies and/or our voices, depending on the environment we are delivering support in.

What can we deduce when someone remains silent?  How can we respond to this in a positive and reassuring way that creates trust and opens the conversation?
