Have you ever felt that no matter what you say or how hard you try, people with emotional health challenges may be unresponsive, may avoid eye contact, might make it clear they don’t want you in close proximity physically? This course helps us understand why this happens, how to spot signs of discomfort or fear, and how we can overcome these hurdles by using our bodies and/or our voices, depending on the environment we are delivering support in.
What can we deduce when someone remains silent? How can we respond to this in a positive and reassuring way that creates trust and opens the conversation?
This interactive, face to face course would benefit anyone working in HR, occupational health, senior management, line managers, or anyone working in the mental health arena.
