Suicide Prevention and Awareness 2 Day Course

Deeper Insight, Greater Confidence, Stronger Impact.

Suicide prevention isn’t just about reacting in a crisis, it’s about noticing the early signs, creating safer spaces, and having the confidence to lead conversations that could change, or even save, a life.

The BRAVE Suicide Awareness and Prevention course takes everything from our 1-day training, and goes further: more time, more depth, more practice. You leave not just aware but equipped.

The Difference Between Knowing and Being Ready is Practice

This 2-day CPD-accredited course is for those in leadership, safeguarding, or frontline support roles who want to deepen their skills and feel truly prepared.

You’ll build on core awareness and leave with he ability to:

  • Understand suicide risk in context – occupational, social, and systemic
  • Spot subtle warning signs and missed cues
  • Lead direct, compassionate conversations with confidence
  • Build robust, collaborative safety plans
  • Challenge common myths and stigma with clarity

You’ll also take part in guided discussions, case study analysis, and practical roleplays – learning not just what to do, but how to do it.

Why This Matters

  • Over 7,000 people die by suicide in the UK each year – that’s one life lost each hour
  • Suicide is the leading cause of death for adults under 35 in the UK, and the risk is even higher in frontline, caring and manual professions
  • 1 in 11 working adults are experiencing suicidal thoughts, yet most aren’t receiving mental health support
  • The first person someone opens up to is rarely a therapist, it’s someone they already know and trust.
  • In those moments, confidence buys time. Compassion builds trust. Both can save a life.
