SOS Volunteers Shortlisted for Awards
SOS Volunteers shortlisted for awards
SOS are delighted that the charity and its volunteers have been shortlisted for awards in the Helplines Awards 2022.
Regardless of outcomes, it is heartening that people lodged their votes, and their reasons, and nominated the charity and our fabulous team of amazing, dedicated, volunteers. This recognition is invaluable as a motivator for volunteers throughout the charity and reflects the high esteem they are held in, alongside the respect they deserve for volunteering so selflessly on our mental wellbeing and suicide prevention helplines. You can read more about what we do by visiting our charity’s home page.
It will be a great opportunity to meet people involved with other charities and the various helplines that they provide.
The 2 awards categories we have shortlisted nominees in, are:
- Volunteer of the Year Award – This award will be presented to a volunteer at a helpline organisation who has gone above and beyond to provide a fantastic service within their role, and has helped their organisation deliver a better overall offering in the last two years (SOS have 3 nominees in this section)
- Resilience in the Face of Adversity Award – This award is new for 2022, and will be given to an organisation who has managed to deliver a phenomenal service despite being faced with numerous challenges since 2020.
SOS wish to congratulate all nominees and the Helplines Partnership for arranging these awards and for the support they give the whole year round to all member charities.
