SOS Silence of Suicide was formed in 2015, originally as a social group, attaining charitable status in 2017.
We work hard with people from all backgrounds to try and eradicate the shame, stigma and silence that prevents people from talking openly about suicide and mental health fragilities
SOS has recently been awarded a grant from Warwickshire County Council’s Councillors’ Grant Fund and is now in a position to recruit a part time Co-Ordinator working 10 hours per week as part of our #YOUMATTER campaign. In line with the National Living Wage, we are paying an hourly rate of £8.72 regardless of your age. This post is fixed term for 1 year from start date.
JOB SPECIFICATION FOR CO-ORDINATOR, PART OF THE #YOUMATTER CAMPAIGN:
Our #YouMatter campaign is encouraging people to take time every day for themselves and their own mental wellbeing.
We are looking for a part time co-ordinator to work 10 hours per week from home, although as lockdown is reduced, and providing social distancing and safety rules are followed, there will be a need for regular face to face meetings in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.
Our co-ordinator will be primarily responsible for:
*Ensuring relevant & creative social media posts are put together and scheduled as part of our #YOUMATTER and other campaigns. Ideally, scheduling 5 posts per day, including weekends, and our Charity hashtags attached to all posts.
*Ensuring that we grow our visibility locally as well as nationally
*Ensuring national, and local communities are aware of all the services we offer
*Being available for Trustee’s meetings for minute taking and the distribution of these
*Through social media, driving our text to donate, direct debit & Just Giving platforms.
What skillsets we need you to have:
*A working familiarity of JustGiving and extracting reports
*At least 2 year’s experience of social media including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram & Linkedin.
*A creative mind to produce dynamic and innovative social media content linking back to our website.
What Kind of Person are we looking for?
Someone driven, creative, innovative and absolutely passionate about mental health and SOS.
You will ideally thrive in a role which is yours to develop.
As you will be working mainly from home, we need someone who can structure and prioritise their time during pre-agreed hours.
Ideally, but not essentially, you will have worked within the Charitable sector previously.
Someone who responds well to direction, but feels comfortable making suggestions.
You need to be a real ‘people’s person’ – friendly and approachable
