Though he is gone his memory is strong,

The story behind the man – and how Jason became known to Michael & Yvette Mansfield, founders of SOS Silence of Suicide.

Just under 9 years ago, we were contacted by a wonderful man called Nigel, the partner of Jason (although we didn’t know this at the time).  Nigel explained how SOS was very close to his heart and he would like to help by building our very first website, completely free of charge.

Over the years, the professional relationship became a deep rooted, much respected friendship and Michael and Yvette are delighted to call Nigel a much loved friend, confidante, someone we support whole heartedly.

During the last 9 years, two events were arranged in Belfast, a place Michael and Yvette call their second home, such is the vibrancy and friendship we have both found there.

This is how we first met Jason – a man with miles of smiles, cheeky as can be, but with a real passion for the work SOS does.  Not only SOS, but his support of Michael as a much loved lawyer in Belfast was incredibly strong.

Jason was a man who cared deeply and went out of his way to help.  He was a wonderful human being and we shall never forget his infectious smile.

Our thoughts rest with Jason’s family, including Nigel, at this devastating time and as they have supported our charity, we will support them.  RIP Jason xxxx
