SOS support Marcus Rashford MBE

SOS Silence of Suicide supports Marcus Rashford MBE in his fight against child food poverty.  Marcus is the voice of all those children living in poverty through no fault of their own.
If you think this is something that only affects under-developed countries, then think again.  It is happening right here, right now, in the United Kingdom and, with the added financial impacts from Covid19, the situation could get worse.
Approximately 3.7 million children in the UK are unlikely to afford a healthy, balanced diet.
We have to act  now to protect our children from all the effects of malnourishment including stunting and wasting.
We have to act now to help ease the psychological burden on parents who struggle to feed their families.
Forcing this Government to do a U-Turn on ending free school meals for approximately 1.3 million eligible children is one way to help.
Every human being has a basic right to food. Let’s ensure we sustain the pressure so that our Government protects those too young to protect themselves.
If you’re affected by this issue and need emotional support, you can call us on 0300 1020 505 9am until midnight 7 days a week.
Alternatively,  have a confidential online chat between 1pm and 6pm 7 days a week.
