Want to train and work from the comfort of your own home, regardless of where you are based?

If you’re a team player, reliable and passionate about mental wellbeing,  and want to join a small but growing team, then apply today!

Our next training dates are 17-20th January 2023 and you will need to be available for all dates and times, thank youPlease do NOT apply if you cannot commit to our dates and times.

There are 2 initial modules, numbers 1 and 2.  Module 1 takes place on day 1 and module 2 on day 2.  Modules 3 & 4 training is offered to those who complete modules 1 & 2 and are considered to have the necessary qualities needed to support our callers.

For day 1 trainees will need to be available between 11am until 4pm with tea breaks and a break for  lunch

For day 2, trainees must be available between 11am until 4pm with tea breaks and a break for lunch.  During this module, you will learn, via different methods, how to develop key skills which are transferrable.

After these 2 modules, we will make a decision on whether to invite you to modules 3 and 4.  Module 3 will run from  11am until 4pm and Module 4 will last approximately 2.5 hours and starts at 5pm.

IMPORTANT: For spot checking roles, you must have access to, and use of, either a laptop or desktop computer for our telephony portal to run.

For frontline phone support volunteers, you MUST use a mobile handset for this.  Your number is not given out to anyone, and no-one can see it

Please do not apply if you do not have a laptop or desktop to do the training on.  Our learning management system does not function correctly on a tablet or phone.

(Please note: you may not hear back from SOS until the week training is due to commence, thank you)
