SOS Silence of Suicide is looking for volunteers who can assist us with the smooth running of our mental health charity.

We are based in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire and work in our local communty but also on a nationwide basis. We want to encourage more people in our local communities to talk to us and explore the services we offer. We also need to better understand what services our local communities need most from a Charity such as ours.

Due to Covid-19, we are getting busier and will require more volunteers going forward. The current virus means that more people are developing poor mental health whilst those with existing vulnerabilites feel more susceptible through isolation and anxiety.  As a result, we are extremely under-resourced and would value your help.

We currently need volunteers who:

1: *Grant Applications: We need help with grant applications in order to sustain our Charity, including our overheads and cost of service provision.  There is no training available for this role, although comprehensive training will be given in relation to what we do, how we do it and what types of  funding need to be sourced, so please only apply if you have at least 2 years grant application experience.

2: *Google Adwords: Resource now secured..

3: Experienced Fundraisers: We are looking for fundraisers, ideally with experience in the charitable sector, to explore and develop fundraising ideas and opportunities for our Charity.  You’ll need to be passionate about mental health, as well as being driven, proactive and a great communicator.  If you have at least 2 years fundraising experience and have some time you could spare to help us, then please get in touch.

We don’t mind what your age, gender, religion, race, sexual orientation or disability s. What does matter is that you have a passion for, and active interest in, mental wellbeing and that you’d like to help support us, and our users, through our work.

There will be NO requirement for you to liaise with our service users via chat, phone, email, text, whatsapp.  Both of these opportunities require behind the scenes involvement only.

If you have some spare time during the week and would like to be involved in a charity that works hard to make a difference to the vulnerable within our society, then please get in touch as we would love to speak to you!

Please email: telling us why you would like to volunteer with us and a little bit about yourself too!

We look forward to hearing from you.
