A Statement from the SOS Family
We are deeply saddened by the tragic news announced by Warwickshire Police regarding the passing of John Taylor from Kenilworth. On behalf of everyone at SOS Silence of Suicide, we extend our heartfelt condolences to John’s family, friends, and loved ones during this profoundly difficult time.
Over the past week, we have observed a sense of community, compassion, and love from all those who helped in the search.
As a local charity dedicated to promoting positive mental health and emotional wellbeing, we have, over the last 8 days, provided support to those helping in the search for John. From residents to police officers, search and rescue teams to visitors from afar, we deployed our Mobile Wellbeing Hub to provide a listening ear, comforting conversations, and simple gestures of care, such as tea and coffee, to help those in attendance.
John’s sad passing is a poignant reminder of the importance and strength of communities coming together. To anyone who is grieving or feeling overwhelmed, please know you are not alone. Our thoughts are with you, and we encourage anyone who needs help to reach out.
