If you’re looking for resources for mental health support, there are many options available to you. From counselling and therapy to support groups and medication management, there are a range of services that can help you manage your mental health. Finding the right resources for you can take time and effort, but there are many organizations that can help you along the way. In this section, we’ll provide you with a list of resources you can use to find local support in the UK.

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list and there may be other resources available in your local area. It’s always a good idea to speak with your GP or mental health service provider to find out what options are available to you.

The NHS Mental Health Services provides a range of mental health services, including counseling, therapy, and medication management. You can find your local NHS mental health service by using the NHS Service Finder.

Mental Health Foundation

The Mental Health Foundation is a UK-based charity that provides information and resources for those with mental health concerns. They have a directory of mental health services and resources that you can search by location.

The Mix

Offers a range of services to young people aged 13-25, including telephone and web chat counselling, email support and a directory of local support services.

Rethink Mental Illness

Rethink Mental Illness is a UK-based charity that provides information and support for those with mental health concerns. They have a directory of local services and support groups that you can search by location.

SANE

Offers emotional support and information to anyone affected by mental health problems, including family, friends and carers. They provide a helpline, online support and a range of resources.

YoungMinds

Provides information and support to children and young people affected by mental health problems, as well as their families and carers. They offer a range of resources, including a helpline and online chat service.

Papyrus

UK charity dedicated to the prevention of suicide and the promotion of positive mental health and emotional wellbeing in young people.

C.A.L.L. Wales

Offers emotional support and information/literature on Mental Health and related matters to the people of Wales.

Supportline

Offer confidential emotional support to children, young adults and adults by telephone, email and post. Working with callers to develop healthy, positive coping strategies, an inner feeling of strength and increased self esteem to encourage healing, recovery and moving forward with life.

ManKind

Expert and specialist charity in the UK focussing on male victims of domestic abuse.

Refuge

Refuge is the largest domestic abuse organisation in the UK, working to support thousands of women and their children, helping them to overcome the physical, emotional, financial and logistical impacts of abuse and rebuild their lives — free from fear.

Childline

Childline helps anyone under 19 in the UK with any issue they’re going through. You can talk about anything. Whether it’s something big or small, their trained counsellors are there to support you.

Alcoholics Anonymous

Alcoholics Anonymous helps with the personal recovery and continued sobriety of individual alcoholics who turn to the Fellowship for help.

National Debtline

A charity and are dedicated to providing free debt advice to people across the UK.

Switchboard LGBT

A safe space for anyone to discuss anything, including sexuality, gender identity, sexual health and emotional well-being.

The Coroners’ Courts Support Service

The Coroners’ Courts Support Service is an independent voluntary organisation whose trained volunteers offer emotional support and practical help to bereaved families, witnesses and others attending an Inquest at a Coroner’s Court.
