Laura Bradley Raises £2,814 for Mental Health Charity SOS Silence of Suicide at London Marathon

Laura Bradley Raises £2,814 for Mental Health Charity SOS Silence of Suicide at London Marathon

Laura Bradley, a passionate advocate for mental health awareness, completed the 2025 London Marathon in support of SOS Silence of Suicide, raising £2,814 to help those affected by mental health struggles and suicide ideation.

Laura, who works with Eton Bridge Partners—an organisation that has supported SOS for several years—chose the charity because of her deep, personal connection to its mission.

“Mental health is so important. I have close family members that really struggle, so it’s something close to my heart,” said Laura. “But everyone needs someone to talk to sometimes—someone who will just listen, not judge, and really seek to understand.”

On the day, Laura overcame early nerves and found strength in the electric atmosphere and support from strangers and loved ones alike.

“The experience was AMAZING! The crowd cheering at every turn really pushes you on. I gave lots of kids high-fives on the way round and absolutely loved running through London. Spotting family and friends in the crowd was very emotional but made me even more determined to complete the race. The day was hot, so I just tried to enjoy it as best I could to make sure I reached the finishing line.”

Her hard work and heart have resulted in a fundraising total just shy of £3,000—a tremendous contribution to SOS Silence of Suicide’s mission of challenging stigma, promoting open dialogue, and ensuring no one faces mental health challenges or suicide loss alone.

“Everyone should try to do it once,” Laura reflected. “It’s as much a mental exercise as it is a physical one, and the feeling of achievement is incredible.”

Yvette Greenway-Mansfield, CEO of SOS Silence of Suicide, praised Laura’s efforts with heartfelt words:

“Laura’s dedication, strength, and compassion embody everything we stand for at SOS. Running a marathon is no small feat and doing so in the name of those who are struggling, grieving, or feeling unheard is deeply powerful. On behalf of the entire SOS family, I want to say thank you. Laura, your courage gives others hope, and your fundraising will help us continue to save lives and reduce suffering.”

Though she jokes that another marathon is off the cards, Laura’s achievement leaves an enduring impact and we are truly grateful.
