Lady Colin Campbell

Lady Colin Campbell

Lady Colin Campbell is a New York and London Times best-selling biographer whose work was described by The Detroit Free Press as ‘psychological portraiture’. She is also the author of ‘Daughter of Narcissus’, an early examination of the devastating effects her mother’s personality disorders had upon her own family. She is a media personality who is regularly called upon on both sides of the Atlantic to commentate on topical matters related to the Royal Family.

Her interest in suicide awareness began with the death by his own hand of her cousin in 1962, followed by that of one of her closest friends in 1976 and another friend in 2001. She lives with her beloved Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and her son at the ancestral home of the celebrated Romantic poet Percy Bysshe Shelley, Castle Goring, which she restored between 2014 and 2016.

SOS says: ‘We have learned much about Lady Colin Campbell and her deep rooted and solid ability to understand human behaviour, and how a lack of kindness, understanding and support can seriously impact anyone, but particularly vulnerable children and adults.. Her biggest appeal to us was that she fully understands that human beings and being humane can be two very different things. Let’s all aim to be humane whilst being human’
